SPECIAL WEATHER BULLETIN FOR RAINY CONDITION OVER THE COUNTRY AND SUROUNDING SEA AREAS.

There is a possibility for the development of a lower level atmospheric disturbance in the Bay of Bengal to the east of Sri-Lanka. Therefore, theprevailing Showery condition over the island is expected to enhance further,particularly in the Northern, Eastern, North-central and Uva provinces during next few days (particularly from 24th November 2017).
Until 24th November 2017
Fairly heavy falls (about 100 mm) can be expected at some places particularly in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central,Uva and Southern provinces and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
From 24th November
Heavy falls (above 100 mm) and fairly strong winds can be expected at some places particularly in the Northern, Eastern, North central and Uva provinces.
Heavy showers/thundershowers,strong winds and rough seas can be expected over the surrounding sea areas from 25th November 2017.
The Department of Meteorology is continuously monitoring the situation.Attention of the General public in this regard is appreciated.
