Synoptic situation: -

The deep depression has intensified in to a cyclonic storm “NISARGA” over east-central Arabian Sea area lay centered near latitude 15.6N and longitude 71.2E. It is very likely to develop into a severe cyclonic storm during next 12 hours. Intermittent showers/T’showers, very strong winds and rough seas could be expected in the above region. 

Winds: -

Strong to Very strong SW’ly winds over Lakshadweep.

Fresh to strong SW’ly winds over SL west & Comorin.

Fresh, occasionally strong SW’ly winds over Basses and SW Bay of Bengal.

Fresh SW’ly winds over Maldives.

Weather: -

Intermittent Showers/ T’Showers over Lakshadweep.

OCNL Showers/ T’Showers over Comorine.

SCT Showers/ T’Showers over SW Bay of Bengal and Maldives.

ISOL Showers/ T’Showers elsewhere.

Seas: -

Rough to very rough over Lakshadweep.

Fairly rough, rough at times over Comorin, SL West & Basses.

Fairly rough over SW Bay of Bengal.

Moderate, fairly rough at times Maldives.
