Synoptic situation: -

The cyclonic storm “NISARGA” over east-central Arabian Sea area lay centered near latitude 16.8N and longitude 71.5E. It is very likely to develop into a severe cyclonic storm during next 06 hours. Intermittent showers/T’showers, very strong winds and very rough seas could be expected in the above region.

Shear line is approximately along: 01N 60E, EQ 70E, 01S 80E, 01N 90E, 02N 100E.


North of Shear line:

West of 85E: SW’ly / (10-20) kts, gusting up to 25 kts in section 05.

East of 85E: SW’ly to W’ly / (10-15) kts.

South of Shear line:

West of 70E: SE’ly to E’ly / (10-20) kts.

East of 70E: SE’ly / (10-20) kts, gusting up to 25 kts in sections 50, 65, 80 and 85.

Weather: -

OCNL Showers / T’Showers in sections: 00, 45, 50

SCT Showers / T’Showers in sections: 05, 65, 70

ISOL Showers / T’Showers in sections: 10, 15, 25, 30, 35, 55, 75, 80
